HISTORY OF REPUBLIC PALACE

The Palace of the Republic is one of the main and largest concert halls in Kazakhstan. It is a significant landmark of the city of Almaty.

The palace was built in 1970. The construction project became original in its architectural and artistic design. In 1971, the architects of the Palace, V.Yu. Alley, V.N. Kim, Yu.G.

Spacious hall facilities used for various events. of city and republican significance: party plenums, solemn commemorations heroes of labor, meetings of trade union and public organizations. At the same time, the Palace The Republic has been a popular stage platform for almost fifty years.

Since March 21, 2008, the status of the Palace of the Republic of Almaty has officially been: "A monument of history, culture, urban planning and architecture of republican significance."

Today, the Palace’s auditorium seats 2,567 spectators and receives both local artists and world-class stars. Here are held scientific conferences and festivals. Trainings, congresses and other events are held in the small hall. In addition, the square in front of the Palace is used for mass concert shows and cultural events at any time of the year, turning it into one of the main and most beautiful squares of the city.
